DIY a remote control power socket

At present, the standby power consumption of home appliances has become a problem that cannot be ignored. When the home appliances are not in use, if the standby power consumption of all the home appliances is added up, it will be a considerable number. Unless the home appliances are unplugged when not in use, it is obviously not very convenient. For this reason, the author designed this remote control power socket, which can not only solve the above problems, but also the socket itself consumes very little power.
The power socket circuit is shown in the attached figure. The circuit in the figure does not use a transformer for power supply but a common resistance-capacitance step-down power supply method, and the capacity is very small, and the current passing is only 3mA. In order to ensure that the circuit can work normally, the figure adopts a bridge rectifier form to utilize all the current obtained.
IC1 in the figure is a three-terminal infrared receiver. The static current of this model is 0.5mA. If you use other models, it is best to measure the static current first. If it is above 1.5mA, it is best to abandon it. R3 and R4 use larger resistance values, which is beneficial to reducing the static power consumption of the machine. The working principle of the 10-way remote control circuit composed of IC2 can be found in the introduction of previous newspapers and magazines. Only one way is drawn in the figure, and the rest are the same. The relay is the key to the power supply socket. It uses a magnetic holding self-locking relay. It only consumes power instantly when it is in action (> 30ms) and does not consume power at other times. The most common type of relay has two sets of coils: one set is energized to attract, and the other set is energized to release. This circuit uses only one set of coils to complete the attraction and release actions. If a relay with two sets of coils is used, the number of control paths in the figure will be reduced to half, and two sets of outputs will be used to control two sets of coils.
When relay K is activated, it needs a large current, which is supplied by the charged voltage (energy storage) of C2. After that, the working voltage of IC1 and IC2 will drop to about 1V due to the discharge of capacitor C2. According to the capacity of C1, it takes 4 seconds to charge to the normal voltage (although the voltage undervoltage fluctuates greatly, it is harmless to IC1 and IC2).
From the above, we can see that the characteristic of this socket is that it takes 4 seconds to remote control each time. If you want to remote control continuously, you need to increase the capacity of C1, but the energy consumption will also increase. IC2 in the figure can also use other chips, as long as it is compatible with the remote control.
The remote control of this socket can be purchased as a finished product, such as Kangyi color TV remote control, etc., as long as the remote control chip model is TC9148 or BL9148. When using it for the first time, if the remote control does not respond, you need to pair it, which can be achieved by short-circuiting C4 or C5 in the figure. The power fuse FU can be selected according to the capacity of the home appliances.
