When the motor capacity is 2000kW and above, longitudinal differential protection should be installed;
important motors with a capacity below 2000kW with 6 lead wires can also be installed if necessary to prevent multi-phase faults inside the motor and lead wires.
    The longitudinal differential protection of the motor is usually connected in an incomplete star connection and
consists of two BCH-2 type or two DL-11 type relays (other types of relays are also used). The protection device acts instantaneously to trip the circuit breaker. When composed of DL-11 type relay
, in order to avoid the influence of excitation inrush current when the motor
