because before the lamp is fully lit, the filament has a greater resistance than the cold filament, thus avoiding the impact of large current when the lamp
is connected to the power grid . The delay time is determined by Ci and Ri. If the value shown in Figure 2-50 is used, it is approximately 6 minutes.
    In order to disconnect the automatic controller and enhance the light, for example when cleaning the stairs, the switch SA can be turned to the "off" position. At this time, the full grid voltage will be applied to
the lamp .
