When operating a lathe and need the spindle to stop rotating, lathes are accustomed to placing the operating handle in the parking position and then leaving the lathe to do other things. They often neglect to press the stop button, causing the motor to run without load for a long time and wasting electricity. The circuit shown in the figure can prevent the motor from idling.
