(4) Power supply, starting, and preheating (as shown in Figure 2 and Figure 3).
The negative pole of the battery 20000 is grounded through the manual switch 52600. The battery model is 12V88Ah (or 12V110Ah), and its positive pole is connected to the central wiring through the electromagnetic power master switch 25900. The box 75000 is connected, and there is another main wire connected to the starter 08000. The live wire of the alternator 03000 comes out from the generator B+ column and is also connected to the positive terminal of the battery. Therefore, as long as the manual power main switch 52600 is turned on, the generator can directly charge the battery when it is working. Whether the charging is normal is displayed by the charging indicator light 58100 on the instrument panel.
It can be inferred from the figure that the alternator is an integral alternator with a built-in hybrid integrated circuit regulator. The charging indicator light goes out when the output voltage from the excitation diode is close to the battery potential difference after the generator generates electricity normally. The normal working voltage of the generator is 14V, the output current is 45A, and the power can reach 650W.
The ignition switch 52502 is divided into two parts in the figure. Like the general ignition switch, it is divided into three gears: OFF (STOP), normal operation (MAR, including preheating), and start (AVV). During normal operation, the ignition switch is connected to all electrical appliances in the vehicle (see Figures 19-10, 19-11, 19-12, 19-13, 19-14, and 19-16).
In order to increase the reliability of low-temperature starting, Iveco light vehicles use a larger power (12V, 2.5kW) starter and a maintenance-free thin plate battery (88Ah battery, maximum starting current is 395A; 11OAh battery, maximum starting current Up to 450A), and a flamethrower preheating system is also installed on the engine's gas manifold. Its preheating process and starting timing are driven and displayed by an electronic circuit controller.
The flame injection preheater uses electric energy to heat the flame injector to ignite the diesel, forming a flame to heat the air in the engine intake manifold, thereby improving the low-temperature starting performance of the diesel engine.
This system consists of electronic control box 47105, water temperature sensor 47105a, flame thrower 19005, solenoid valve 78000 (controlling pre-warmed diesel) and other pipelines. The electronic control box can automatically control the working status of the flamethrower on the intake manifold according to the engine water temperature. The driver only needs to observe the preheating indicator light 58101 to know when the preheating is appropriate to start.
