The principle of energy consumption braking is that after the stator winding is powered off, the two-phase stator winding is immediately connected to a DC power supply, so a static magnetic field is generated in the stator winding; the rotor rotates in this magnetic field to generate an induced electromotive force, and the rotor current is equal to The torque generated by the fixed magnetic field prevents the rotor from continuing to rotate, thus producing a braking effect and causing the motor to stop quickly.
The circuit introduced in this article is simple and reliable, suitable for motors below 5kW. Working process: Press the start button QA, the contactor IC coil is energized, the motor rotates, and the capacitor C is charged at the same time. When parking, press the TA button, the contactor IC loses power and disconnects the motor. The capacitor C has a resistance of 3kΩ to the coil. The high-sensitivity relay J discharges, causing J to pull in, and the 2C contactor coil is powered to pull in, thereby performing DC energy consumption braking. After a certain period of time, the capacitor C is completely discharged, and the relay J is released, and the braking ends at this time. Selecting the capacity of capacitor C can change the length of braking time.
