The excellent performance of TDA2030A has made it popular among everyone for more than ten years. Many luxurious-looking active speakers, mid-range power amplifiers, and subwoofers also use TDA2030.
TDA2030A is a mono power amplifier integrated circuit. To make a stereo amplifier, two TDA2030A must be used. TDA2030A has only five pins, positive power supply, negative power supply, forward input, reverse input and output. The heat sink of TDA2030A is connected to the negative pole. When using dual power supplies, the heat sink must not be short-circuited with the ground wire.
This power amplifier board uses dual 12V power supplies, and TDA2030A works in OCL mode. OCL means that the amplifier directly drives the speaker without audio input, output transformer and output coupling capacitor. OCL has the characteristics of good sound quality, good frequency response, and low cost. Commonly used power amplifier circuit types include OTL, BTL, and OCL circuits with the fewest components and the best sound quality.
