Electrical equipment such as motors commonly use fuses for overcurrent and short-circuit protection. However, it is difficult to detect in time when the fuse blows. The circuit as shown in the figure can promptly notify the fuse to blow. This is a fuse indicator for DC power supplies. When the power output is normal, the current passes through R1 and LED1 emits light, which not only indicates that the load is working normally, but also indicates that the polarity of the power supply is normal. At this time, LED2 is short-circuited by the fuse and does not emit light. When the fuse blows, current passes through R2 and causes LED2 to light up, indicating that the fuse is faulty.
