Digital power amplifier, also called Class D amplifier, has the characteristics of small size and high efficiency. Here is asimple class D amplifier made with a 555 circuit . It uses a 555 circuit to form a controllable multivibrator. The audio signal is input to the control terminal to obtain a width-modulated pulse signal (as shown in the figure), which can basically meet general listening requirements.
It is a 100KHz controllable multivibrator composed of IC 555 and R1, R2, C1, etc., with a duty cycle of 50%. The audio signal is input to pin 5 of the control terminal, and a pulse signal with a pulse width proportional to the amplitude of the input signal is obtained from pin 3. , after being tuned and filtered by L and C3, the speaker is driven.
