In addition to all the functions of LM1036, LM1040N also has a stereo expansion function. LM1040N
is a dual in-line 24-pin arrangement, 4 more pins than LM1036, two of which are stereo widening control
pins, and two are empty pins. Its internal principle is basically the same as that of LM1036. As shown in Figure 4-27, the pin functions (except the stereo widening control pin), usage, tone control and equal loudness adjustment methods
    of Oka040N are exactly the same as those of LM1036. C. The capacity of Cb and the changes in control characteristics caused by capacity changes are exactly the same as those of LM 1036 .
