What kind of circuit is a voltage regulator circuit?

Source: InternetPublisher:Lemontree Keywords: Voltage stabilization circuit Updated: 2024/09/27

Among the circuits that electricians must learn, the voltage stabilizing circuit is the most common one. The reasons for the change in output voltage in the voltage stabilizing circuit are the change in load current and the change in input voltage. The change in load current will produce a voltage drop on the internal resistance of the rectifier power supply, thereby causing the input voltage to change.

Voltage stabilization circuit

A voltage stabilizing circuit refers to a power supply circuit that can keep the output voltage basically unchanged when the input grid voltage fluctuates or the load changes.

As shown below:

What is a voltage regulator circuit?

Classification method of voltage stabilizing circuit:

According to the type of output current, it can be divided into DC voltage stabilizing circuit and AC voltage stabilizing circuit; according to the connection method between the voltage stabilizing circuit and the load, it can be divided into series voltage stabilizing circuit and parallel voltage stabilizing circuit; according to the working state of the adjustment tube, it can be divided into linear voltage stabilizing power supply and switching voltage stabilizing power supply; according to the circuit type, it can be divided into simple voltage stabilizing power supply, feedback voltage stabilizing power supply and voltage stabilizing circuit with amplification link.

Technical indicators of voltage stabilizing circuit:

1. Voltage regulation coefficient, voltage regulation rate, output resistance;

2. Temperature coefficient of output voltage;

3. Current regulation: the relative change in output voltage when the output current changes from zero to the maximum rated value;

4. Ripple suppression ratio: the decibel value of the ratio of the peak-to-peak value of the input voltage AC ripple to the peak-to-peak value of the output voltage AC ripple.
