Single-phase operation short-circuit braking circuit

Short-circuit braking is essentially a kind of energy-consuming braking. When
    the motor is braking, the stator winding is disconnected from the AC grid, the winding is short-circuited from phase to phase, and the rotor rotates inertly. Due to
the residual magnetism in the rotor, a rotating magnetic field is formed in the rotor and cuts the stator winding, thereby generating an induced electromotive force in the stator winding. Since
the stator winding has been short-circuited, there is an induced current in the stator winding . This current interacts with the rotating magnetic field to generate
braking torque, forcing the rotor to stop. This braking method is only suitable for small-capacity motors below 1.5kW. The short-
circuit braking circuit for one-way operation is shown in Figure 3-153.
