To make the oscilloscope display only the input signal without mixing other signals, the oscilloscope needs to characterize the signal more purely.

The low-noise amplifier ASIC TEK061 at the front end of the MSO6 oscilloscope achieves a breakthrough noise performance, reducing the noise by about 75% (5mV/div, 1 GHz) compared to ordinary oscilloscopes. Speaking of MSO 6, Pat Byrne, president of Tektronix, who is an engineer by profession, said: "One of the key features of the 6 Series MSO is not just the low noise design, but the low noise at high resolution and low noise performance at bandwidths up to 8 GHz. Therefore, such sampling frequency, such noise performance, and such vertical resolution truly represent the cutting-edge level of measurement science."
