Is the on-board charger the same as the charging station? [Copy link]

Is it a charging pile? OBC, or off-board charger, needs to be connected to a charging pile according to the information. Does OBC also need to be connected to an off-board charger?

Not necessarily, and it is not called that. Charging pile refers specifically to the device for charging electric vehicles. Charging machine, charger and the like are very broad. For the convenience of communication, the electric vehicle industry still uses the term "charging pile".  Details Published on 2018-9-11 13:22

The charging pile is definitely not a car-mounted one. If it is a car-mounted one, it can only be called a car-mounted mobile charging pile or something like that. The power supply of the charging pile comes from the power grid, while the mobile charging pile comes from the battery. The latter is a temporary emergency charging device, while the former is the mainstream, which is exactly the same as the relationship between a mobile phone power adapter and a mobile power bank.

I wrote it wrong. What I want to ask is whether the non-car charger is the charging pile.  Details Published on 2018-9-11 13:08
