Abstract: This paper introduces the main circuit principle, control circuit principle, structural characteristics of the single iron core valve side phase-shifted 12-pulse same-phase anti-parallel thyristor rectifier, as well as the operation of this device in industrial sites. Keywords: thyristor rectifier 12-pulse valve side shift same phase anti-parallel In high-power, high-voltage, and high-current electrochemical rectifier power supplies, the rectifier circuit mostly adopts a same-phase anti-parallel structure. Since the current directions of the anti-parallel arms are opposite, the magnetic fields they generate cancel each other out, thereby reducing the impact of the magnetic field on the circuit operation and improving the current balance of each arm. This type of rectifier transformer mostly uses grid-side phase shifting. For this reason, the rectifier transformer for the same-phase anti-parallel 12-phase rectifier circuit requires two cores to form. This type of transformer is larger in size, higher in tonnage, more complex in wiring, and has a higher corresponding cost, but has lower requirements for the rectifier structure layout. In order to ensure the smooth implementation of the electrolysis transformation project of Jiangsu Sopo Group, Xi'an Zhongdian Transformer Rectifier Factory developed KHS-20000A/800V thyristor rectifier, which was paralleled with the two existing KHS-8000A/600V on site, and output DC 540V, 32kA. This power rectifier transformer adopts valve-side phase shifting, and consists of a core to form a 12-phase rectifier circuit in the same phase and inverse parallel, which is the first in China, with small size, light weight and low cost.
