Since I bought my first computer in 1997, I have always used computer power supplies that came with the computer case. In my memory, hard drives are pretty durable as long as you don't drop or knock them. I have never broken a hard drive. Time flies by, and I still have 6 hard drives that are not often powered on, ranging from 80G to 500G. They are mainly used to store some collection-level data, from "Radio" from 1952 to 2013, to "Statistical Yearbook" of various years, and various PDFs. A few days ago, I suddenly realized that no one asked me for gold coins. I checked and found that I had hundreds of them. How should I spend them? I thought about it and decided to buy a storage disk to find a bigger house for these data, so that I don't have to pull the plug when I need to look for them. SATA is okay, but one of the hard drives is still IDE, and the cable is not very good. These six hard disks will be put to good use: they will be mounted on two motherboards, formatted regularly using batch processing, and random files of varying sizes will be copied. The 12V and 5V power supplies for the hard disks will still be the power supplies that came with the computer case when I bought it in Iraq, and ripple voltages of varying amplitudes will be superimposed in stages to see how long they can last.
