New version of TESIS simulation module creates a virtual test environment for engine ECU testing [Copy link]

TESIS DYNAware has released a new version R3.3, including the enDYNA Themos module for engine physics , which creates a virtual test environment tailored for modern engine ECU testing, such as variable valve lift or diesel particulate filter. For vehicle dynamics simulation , the new suspension toolbox - automated model design based on actual tests, makes the axle design process more convenient. Concept studies can be performed quickly and easily, and the impact on vehicle operation can be quickly compared.

enDYNA Themos is a new generation of real-time engine simulation module that can analyze the internal processes of the engine, such as the combustion process or temperature and pressure patterns. This is very beneficial for the design and ECU testing of diesel and gasoline engines. The key is to provide a good and available simulation model. Although this simulation model has a high degree of complexity, the model parameters are based on standard test data and do not require special testing.

The enDYNA Themos model is able to simulate the changes in cylinder pressure via the cylinder pressure sensor in the diesel engine ECU. It can also simulate multiple injections and multi-point injections, thus simulating exhaust gas recirculation and exhaust gas aftertreatment of the diesel particulate filter. Therefore, the enDYNA Themos module greatly improves the precision and accuracy of current engine real-time simulation models. The new module can still be used in any common HIL test equipment. The enDYNA Themos module for gasoline engines takes into account variable valve lift and internal and external EGR cycles, provides important information on the detailed composition of the exhaust gas, and takes into account the simulation of exhaust gas aftertreatment.

The new Vehicle Dynamics Simulation Model ( veDYNA ) suspension analysis toolbox supports fully automated suspension data generation using data from K&C test tests or calculated using sophisticated multibody dynamics simulation software. Generated axle characteristics can be easily modified in a graphical user interface. Design variants can be quickly evaluated and compared using vehicle driving simulation results in veDYNA.

In veDYNA, standard Pacejka tire data can be used directly. This function is achieved by opening the source code of the Pacejka96 tire model and expanding the Simulink interface of this model.

The Traffic module has been updated with a real sensor module that can detect the surrounding traffic environment such as other vehicles and obstacles. In addition, veDYNA allows all simulation settings to be saved as a separate solution for later review and parameter study.

The new version of the DYNAanimation tool includes an ActiveX interface to remotely control all functions. This interface allows to modify the properties of objects, even during the simulation. Due to the multi-window display, DYNAanimation can also be used in driving simulators.

DYNAware R3.3 supports the current Mathworks 14SP1/14SP2/14SP3/2006a+ versions and provides real-time operation on all major hardware platforms (ADI, ETAS, dSPACE, National Instruments, Opal-RT and xPC).
