DIY Exposure Flash [Copy link]

Exposure flash is needed in many occasions. Among them, the most used one by electronic production enthusiasts is the exposure of photosensitive plates in the process of homemadePCBplate making. The exposure lamp can use a UV tube or a common LED light board, but the exposure time and intensity required by the photosensitive plate for different exposure lamps will be different. If you also want to use the photosensitive plate method to make a PCB board, then a good DIY exposure lamp may be of great help to you.

So how do you make an exposure flash yourself?
P01 Exposure Flash
Refer to the followingvideoYou can also make an exposure flash that meets your needs:

]LED exposure light mainly uses a LEDlight-emitting board+acrylic combination, and is powered by an external 15VDC power supply voltage. Since the LEDlight source is concentrated, sulfuric acid paper or frosted paper is needed to disperse the light, so that a more perfect exposure effect can be achieved. Combined with different external power controllers, the function of exposure light or flash can be realized:

2. Design principle
1, principle
Below is the wiring schematic diagram of the originalLED3*43 group design: 366992 P05 LED light board principle diagram LED single LED lamp bead on the light board voltage range is 3.0V ~ 3.5V, the power is about 0.5W. The external power supply voltage should be 15V24W or above. Based on the original wiring, a new LED combination is designed as 3*5 as a group, and then 3 groups of them are connected in parallel to meet the power requirements of the external power supply: The redesigned combination: 366993 P06 New design principle diagram
3. DIYProcess sharing
According to the schematic diagram above, first test whether each group of lights can light up normally, and then power on to test whether the brightness is normal. The light divergence effect, the brightness is still good:
P07 LED astigmatism effect
According to the size of the acrylic shell, cut the LEDaluminum substrate so that its size can fit into the shell for the best effect. LEDaluminum substrate is pre-installed into the shell:
P08 Put in the aluminum substrate
The front of the acrylic shell has not yet been torn off the anti-scratch protective film on the surface. A hole is opened on the outside for installing the power socket:
P09 Opening hole

P10 Installing the DC socket
Arrange the LEDs in groups, connect the solder joints with wires, and complete the flying wire soldering: 366998 P11 soldering completed Use hot melt glue to fix the aluminum substrate and the acrylic plate at the bottom (after testing, the temperature generated by the LED working is not enough to cause the hot melt glue to melt): 366999 P12 Glue fixation
Close the acrylic shell to test the effect, tear off the protective film, LEDThe light scattering effect is still quite bright:
P13 Tear off the protective film
Since the acrylic board is completely transparent, LEDThe light is too concentrated, so adding a layer of diffuser film is better. So stick a layer of sulfuric acid paper on the acrylic board to increase the diffuser effect, and add a layer of sulfuric acid paper on the bottom of the acrylic board:

So far, the exposure light is completed. This is the final effect, simple and convenient, with texture:

4. Appreciation of the finished product
The production is completed. Let’s take a look at the finished product and the effect of turning on the light:
When the light is not turned on, a layer of sulfuric acid paper on the surface blocks the internal structure from being seen. The overall appearance is very simple:

Connect15Vpower supply, turn on the light, the whole light is bright, the light is evenly divergent, and the exposure effect is good:

Stick high temperature tape around the acrylic box for decoration:

5. Some final words
The exposure light is completed, and the effect is very good. It is very helpful for those who want to use the photographic plate to makePCBDIYin the future. Of course, it can also be used as fill light and flash, etc.

In the past few years, some cities have installed cameras and road monitoring LED fill lights on the streets. You can try it out. Which wires should be soldered on the aluminum substrate? Pay attention to safety. If the heat of the aluminum substrate cannot be discharged, the temperature will rise. It is best to use high-temperature wires for the connection. In addition, the reference video in the post does not seem to be playable.

If you are working on LED fill light for road monitoring, you should pay attention to the characteristics of strobe lights. Generally, cameras shoot at 8-25 frames per second. If you use strobe fill light directly at this frequency, the LED light will only light up when the camera is shooting. Generally, cameras shoot video images at 8-25 frames per second. When receiving the camera signal, the LED strobe light will light up synchronously with its shutter to ensure that there is enough fill light at the moment of shooting. Therefore, consider adding a control interface for the control signal, such as TTL level signal, 485 signal or switch signal, etc.
