[CCIDnet News] June 10th news: National Semiconductor Corp., which produces both analog and digital chips, announced its fourth-quarter results on Thursday. The company's profit increased this quarter due to a $55.9 million tax rebate.

The company expects revenue to be flat to down 2 percent in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, compared with the fourth quarter, mainly due to sales of its PC Super I/O and wireless businesses.
For the full fiscal year, National Semiconductor earned $417.2 million, or $1.12 per share, on revenue of $1.91 billion.
The company expects revenue to be flat to down 2 percent in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, mainly due to sales declines in its PC Super I/O and wireless businesses.
