Fully automatic contactless voltage regulator [Copy link]

This voltage stabilizer has no contacts, the voltage adjustment is accurate and fast, and the applicable range is very wide: AC150V~AC300V.

Principle: The mains electricity enters the full-bridge rectification of D1~D4 through L1 and is added to the thyristor SCR. The conduction angle of SCR is controlled by BT33. BT33, C, R1, R2, R3 and W form a relaxation oscillator. Changing W can change the oscillation period.

When the input voltage increases, the voltage on BT33 increases accordingly, the oscillation speeds up, the SCR conduction angle decreases, the voltage on SCR increases, and the voltage on L1 remains unchanged; conversely, the voltage on SCR decreases, and the voltage on L1 remains unchanged; thus, the voltage coupled by L2 remains constant. Due to the use of full-bridge rectification, the voltages on L1 and L2 remain sinusoidal.

Component selection: The current of D1~D4 and SCR is selected according to the capacity of B, and there should be a large margin. The withstand voltage is above 600V. R1 and R2 should use 3W resistors, and W should preferably use an adjustable resistor or potentiometer of 2W or more.
