National Semiconductor Corporation ( NYSE: NSM) announced that it has achieved the best performance in its history and therefore decided to reward each of its 8,500 employees worldwide with a 30GB Apple iPod video player. In addition to satisfying personal entertainment needs, this popular MP3 player will be used by National Semiconductor as a tool for employee training and communication, allowing employees to download company-issued information in real time and access their employee communications.

Last Thursday, National Semiconductor announced its fourth quarter and full-year results for fiscal 2006 , noting record-breaking operating profits and gross margins.
