Zhuhai New Economic Resources Development Port is one of the national software industry bases and also an integrated circuit design and production base in Guangdong Province. The construction of the design base has cultivated leading companies like Actions. At present, Actions' sales revenue has exceeded 1.2 billion yuan, ranking first among the top ten design companies in the country. The MP3 chips it designs and produces have accounted for 40% of the global market and ranked second in the international market. ZTE Microelectronics has become a communication integrated circuit design company that has fully mastered large-scale deep submicron digital IC design technology, SoC design technology, analog and mixed digital and analog IC design technology . Its design conditions are comparable to those of advanced foreign IC companies, and its design specifications are fully in line with upstream and downstream domestic and foreign companies in the industry chain. According to He Tao, the integrated circuit products successfully developed and mass-produced by more than 180 design companies in the Pearl River Delta mainly use 0.35 micron/0.25 micron/0.13 micron manufacturing processes, and the process range covers a variety of process technology fields such as CMOS, Bipolar, BiCMOS, and BCD. The main products are standard series traditional products or medium and low-end products such as audio circuits and analog circuits, and account for half of the sales revenue of the design industry. This shows that the quality of design products needs to be improved, and it also shows that the design industry has great room for development. He Tao said that the integrated circuit design industry in Guangdong Province has initially formed an IC design industry chain including design and design services, but compared with the national IC design industry, the design sales revenue and growth rate still need to be improved. In the past few years, the manufacturing industry and the packaging and testing industry have been the absolute main force driving the growth of the IC industry. In recent years, the growth rate of the design industry has been much higher than that of the manufacturing and packaging industries. Its business involves wafer manufacturing, wafer polishing , integrated circuit design, chip testing and packaging.
