ADE7753 is ADI's latest advanced digital watt-hour meter chip, which is a high-precision active and apparent energy metering integrated circuit with serial interface and pulse output. It integrates second-order ∑△ADCs, a digital integrator (on CH1), a reference voltage source, and a temperature sensor, and can calculate the effective value (RMS) of voltage and current, and measure active, reactive and apparent energy (Figure 1). In fact, ADE7753 is an energy metering system-on-chip (SOC) chip.
