Holtek launches new IC with TinyPower technology

Holtek Semiconductor (Holtek) launched new products with TinyPowerTM technology, HT48R52 and HT48R53, which have extremely low power consumption and can extend the battery life, making Holtek 's microcontroller products more in line with the trend of green energy. TinyPowerTM technology allows the product to have an operating current as low as 300uA at a working voltage of 3 volts, and after entering the power saving mode (Halt Mode), the Real Time Clock is still in the working state, and the current consumption is as low as 0.8uA, which greatly improves the power saving performance of Holtek microcontrollers. The HT48R52 and HT48R53 use Holtek Semiconductor 's 8-bit microcontroller core. The operating frequency can be switched by software program. The fast mode can reach up to 8MHz, and the slow mode is 32768Hz, which is suitable for products with low power consumption requirements. The products provide 36 input/output ports, which can be used to control various switches or drive display devices such as LEDs. They also have up to 6 VDD interfaces and VSS interfaces, which can effectively disperse the current and avoid heat dissipation problems. The built-in Real Time Clock circuit has high accuracy and provides accurate time, saving customers the cost of external clock chips. The products also provide PFD (Programmable Frequency Divider) function, which can be used to generate sounds of different frequencies. There are also timers (Timer) and interrupt functions (Interrupt) to provide designers with more efficient program control functions. Both products are suitable for various home appliances, consumer products and other intelligent control products. The HT48R52 and HT48R53 have the same functions. The only difference is that the program memory space of the HT48R52 is 2K Word, while that of the HT48R53 is 4K Word. Both are packaged in 52-pin QFP and are pin compatible. Holtek Semiconductor has started to provide development tools and engineering samples for these two products.
