Network application upgrade for body control and instrument system [Copy link]


  As modern heavy trucks develop towards more energy-saving, more comfortable, safer and smarter directions
, especially after more electronic functions are added to the car,
electronic applications in areas such as intelligent body control, brake system control, and transmission system control are becoming increasingly important.
The emergence of various automotive network standards such as CAN and LIN will bring greater flexibility to designers and developers.
Recently, CAN/LIN bus has become the mainstream bus technology for popular cars.
  CAN networks in automotive applications can be divided into two types according to the nature of traffic:
one is the body control network, which controls the passenger comfort system, so the network
mainly handles a variety of message identifiers that appear in disorder or at irregular frequencies. The other is the automotive
powertrain network, which transmits messages related to engine and transmission control.
  LIN is a low-cost serial bus technology that meets the requirements of body electronics. LIN can provide a low-cost network connection method for
motors , switches, sensors and lights. It is a
low-cost, short-distance, low-speed network. Another purpose of LIN is
to reduce so that it can be easily implemented with high-quality and low-cost 8-bit or 16-bit microcontrollers.
  The intelligent body control and instrumentation system used in Sinotruk HOWO trucks adopts advanced
embedded automotive MCU and CSIC intelligent chips, and completes system
control, instrument functions, self-test, etc. through LIN&CAN integration.
  The instrument information display screen adopts a specially designed large-screen LCD module, which can intelligently and
intuitively display the control system and instrument content, warning content and input/output information in Chinese characters.
The entire system mostly uses automotive-grade electronic devices
provided and automotive power/signal connectors provided by AMP of the United States. Each
group of connectors adopts a fool-proof design to ensure reliability.
  In addition, this system reserves a CAN bus network (complying with SAE1708/1587 and SAE1939
standards) interface for future connection and integration with the engine electronic control system.
  This integrated system has an upgrade function, and the system upgrade program can be downloaded through the Internet, and the software of the entire system can be upgraded
through the communication interface provided by the PC.
The system can be directly connected to the vehicle by a laptop to complete the diagnosis and maintenance of the entire system. It is equipped with signal indicator lights and
light drive self-test functions, which are convenient for installation and debugging and pre-vehicle lighting system inspection.
  HOWO truck intelligent control system includes digital instrument, main control board and power drive board.
The main control board is mainly responsible for receiving input signals including switches, sensors and various signal switches,
and then the central processor sends instructions to the power drive board, which drives various electrical
devices to operate. The power drive board is mainly responsible for providing power for all electrical devices in the vehicle, and at the same time
detecting whether there is any fault in each power output line, and providing correct
fault .
