**RP2350 and ESP32-C6 support, RISC-V native transmitter, generic TinyUSB code** In this version MicroPython adds support for the new RP2350 MCU, improved support for RISC-V native code generation, support for ESP32-C6, updated Zephyr version with thread support, cross-platform unified TinyUSB bindings, portable UART interrupt API, and enhanced mpremate recursive copy capabilities. At the same time, a large number of bug fixes, test suite enhancements, and more attention to the machine module and its API testing are also included. Support for the RISC-V architecture has been significantly expanded, including the RV32IMC native code generator, native NLR and GC register scanning implementations for 32-bit and 64-bit RISC-V, support for placing RV32IMC native code in .mpy files and freezing them, and RISC-V semihost support. Testing of RISC-V was done with qemu and unix, and support is used in esp32 and rp2. Concatenation of adjacent f-strings is now supported, as well as raw f-strings. A new `micropython.RingIO` class has also been introduced, which provides a stream interface for an efficient, thread-safe byte ring buffer implementation. All hardware using TinyUSB has now unified on the same shared helper code for CDC serial communication, including: esp32 (S2 and S3), mimxrt, renesas-ra, rp2 and samd. With this comes the useful feature that CDC serial data will be buffered on startup and sent to the host after connection. This means (among other things) that you can now see the initial prompt of the REPL when first connecting to the board. Most hardware now supports registering Python callback functions for UART interrupts, and the semantics of the callback functions are as consistent as possible across hardware. Possible interrupt types include IRQ_RX, IRQ_RXIDLE, IRQ_TXIDLE, and IRQ_BREAK, and hardware support for these interrupts has been added for esp32, mimxrt, nrf, renesas-ra, rp2, and samd (stm32 already had this feature). In terms of the network subsystem, a new API has been added for configuring IP addresses and related settings: the global `network.ipconfig()` function, and the `nic.ipconfig()` method for individual network interfaces. This new API supports IPv4 and IPv6, and has more control than the original `nic.ifconfig()` method; the latter is still available for backward compatibility, but `ipconfig()` is now recommended. A `network.PPP` implementation based on the lwIP port has been added, which is not enabled by default, but can be added to custom boards using bare metal lwIP. The `machine.SoftSPI` class now supports least significant bit (LSB) mode, similar to the existing most significant bit (MSB) mode. The behavior of `sys.exit()` and `raise SystemExit` (which are equivalent) has changed: previously it would cause the running script to terminate and drop into the interactive interpreter, but now it will terminate the running script and trigger a soft reset of the device. This behavior change is more consistent with the Unix port, which exits cleanly on a `SystemExit` exception. This behavior change is a breaking change that may affect some applications; see commit record [69c25ea](https://github.com/micropython/micropython/commit/69c25ea8653566ec97690b5121bd10b753c89426) for details. mpremote adds hashing capabilities, such as `mpremote sha256sum<file>` , and enhanced the recursive copy feature, which first checks the hash value and only updates the target file if the hash value is different. This makes copying large directories to the device significantly faster and allows for a "synchronous" workflow, where large applications can be modified slightly and then quickly deployed to the device through recursive copying. ESP32 now supports ESP-IDF v5.2.2, and supports ESP32-C6 microcontrollers. The RISC-V native launcher has been enabled on C3 and C6 microcontrollers. In addition, some important bugs have been fixed, including the handling of loading native code from .mpy files, stack corruption fixes, and I2S fixes. In addition, for applications that use a large number of TCP sockets in rapid succession, there is now a hard limit on the number of active TCP sockets, so performance should be seen. The qemu port has been renamed from qemu-arm to qemu, and now supports ARM and RISC-V architectures. It has been redesigned to provide REPL functionality and run tests through a pty serial port to simulate running on bare metal. rp2 has been updated to pico-sdk v2.0.0, which provides MicroPython support for the new RP2350 MCU, both in ARM and RISC-V modes, and in both 30-pin and 48-pin hardware versions. IPv6 is enabled by default, and optional `network.PPP` is available. USB will now remain active during `machine.lightsleep()`, and many bug fixes have been made. stm32 also supports the optional `network.PPP` feature via lwIP, and octospi is supported on STM32H7 microcontrollers. A new build option has been added to put interrupt requests (IRQs), flash, and UART code into RAM, which is enabled on boards with a UART REPL so that UART characters are not lost when working on these boards (for example, using mpremote to copy files to the board). Preemptive keyboard interrupts via PendSV have been removed: this was buggy and no longer necessary; see [ece950d](https://github.com/micropython/micropython/commit/ece950d9bed18554e945188c5a31908c8bfa9a7b) for details. The ARDUINO_PORTENTA_H7 and ARDUINO_NICLA_VISION boards have added compatibility for the NXP SE05x secure element and integration with mbedTLS. WebAssembly has better support for asyncio, including the ability to do top-level await on Task and Event objects. Also, proxying of objects between JavaScript and Python has been enhanced. zephyr has been upgraded to Zephyr v3.7.0, threading functionality has been implemented through the *_thread* modules, REPL is now in non-blocking mode to handle events/callbacks, more Python features have been enabled, including large integers, and machine objects (such as Pin, I2C) can be constructed using device tree node labels. The development boards added in the new version are: ESP32_GENERIC_C6, M5STACK_ATOMS3_LITE, M5STACK_NANOC6, OLIMEX_ESP32_EVB, UM_FEATHERS3NEO, UM_OMGS3, UM_RGBTOUCH_MINI and UM_TINYC6 (esp32 version), RPI_PICO2 (rp2 version), ARDUINO_OPTA (stm32 version).
