Why does the display go black from time to time? [Copy link]

When your monitor occasionally has a short black screen, it usually lasts for 1 to 2 seconds and then returns to normal display. What is the cause?
It may be that the power supply unit (PSU) is underpowered, or there is a quality problem with the power supply unit itself, which causes the monitor to intermittently lose signal input. You can check the rated power of the power supply, and then you can turn on the real-time detection of how many watts.
The incorrect configuration, outdated or incompatible graphics card driver with the current system may cause the screen to flicker or black screen for a short time. In addition, if the temperature of the graphics card is too high or exceeds its set power consumption limit, it may also trigger the protection mechanism and cause the picture to disappear temporarily. When used in games or other high-load applications, it is recommended to use relevant tools to detect the operating temperature of the graphics card.
One of the most common reasons is that there is a problem with the connection cable between the monitor and the computer. Whether it is HDMI or DP (DisplayPort) type cable, if the connector is loose, the cable is damaged or the quality is poor, it may cause unstable signal. It is recommended to replace it with a high-quality cable to eliminate this possibility.
For each of the above situations, please check one by one according to your actual situation. If the problem still cannot be solved after the above steps, you may need to consider other potential causes, such as internal hardware failure of the monitor. I believe that the problem can be solved!

What is the reason why the monitor goes black from time to time? The screen sometimes accumulates a lot of static electricity. The monitor eliminates the influence of static electricity by refreshing the screen. This is a relatively common situation. It is recommended to maintain a certain humidity in the environment, not too dry, pay attention to cleaning, and not too much dust, which can alleviate the occurrence of such situations; of course, other hardware, software and human influences are not ruled out.   Details Published on 2024-10-30 16:09

Use a multimeter to test whether the output voltage of the monitor's voltage-stabilized power supply is normal.

My situation normally occurs when the board's power switch is turned on.

The most likely reason is that it is not plugged in properly and the contact is poor. Another possibility is that the resolution and refresh rate are not supported, which can also cause this situation. You should try more to know.
