The electric tailgate control, its full English name is Power Lift Gate, abbreviated as PLG. The electric tailgate system is mainly composed of three parts: the support rod assembly, the door lock and the ECU. The ECU receives the command of the body control module and communicates indirectly with the keyless entry system. The key entry system transmits the command signal of the vehicle tailgate opening key, remote control smart car key and other operations to the body control module through the CAN bus, and then sends the signal to the PLG through the CAN bus to control the opening and closing of the PLG. The modern technology electric tailgate system integrates functions such as inductive opening, intelligent safety anti-pinch, door closing alarm, angle memory, etc.
In today's era of accelerating digitalization and integration, electronic equipment and power systems are facing unprecedented challenges. Transient events such as lightning strikes, surges, and electrostatic discharge (ESD) have become key factors threatening the stability and life of equipment. Electric tailgate DC 12V power port surge load dump protection
As can be seen from the scheme diagram, in order to meet the surge protection of the 12V DC power input port of the electric tailgate of the car (car load dumping), Dongwo Electronic Technology recommends the bidirectional TVS diode TPSMAJ26CA, with a peak pulse current of 9.5A, a clamping voltage of 42.1V, an SMA package, and meets the AEC-Q 101 automotive certification. The PPTC in the scheme is a self-resettable fuse, and Dongwo DW-MSMD050-60 is selected, with a holding current of 0.5A, a trigger current of 1A, a maximum voltage of 60V, and an SMD 1812 package.
Electric tailgate CAN bus port surge electrostatic protection
As can be seen from the scheme diagram, in order to meet the surge electrostatic protection of the CAN BUS bus interface, Dongwo Electronics recommends the use of ESD diode PESD2CAN, with an operating voltage of 24V, a peak pulse current of 9A, a peak pulse power of 420W, a clamping voltage of 45V, a junction capacitance of 30pF, and a SOT-23 package. It complies with AEC-Q101 automotive certification and meets: IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4, contact discharge ±30KV, and air discharge ±30KV.
Electric tailgate Hall signal interface surge electrostatic protection
As can be seen from the scheme diagram, in order to meet the electrostatic surge protection of the Hall sensor interface, Dongwo Electronics recommends the use of 3 automotive-grade ESD electrostatic protection diodes DW15D-B-AT-S, with an operating voltage of 15V, a peak pulse current of 12A, a peak pulse power of 420W, a clamping voltage of 30V, a junction capacitance of 30pF, and a SOD-323 package. It complies with AEC-Q101 automotive certification and meets: IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4, contact discharge ±30KV, and air discharge ±30KV.
