This is an Accord car machine.
From the label on the back, the model number is 39710-TVA-H030-M1. There is HONDA printed on the shell.
There are only two connectors on the back, one is two-pin and the other has five-pin, which should be for power supply and other functions.
After removing the outer shell, you can see that there is an aluminum alloy protective shell inside.
After removing the aluminum alloy protective shell, you will see the motherboard. There are FPC cables connected to the four sides of the motherboard. The left, right and bottom FPC cables are connected to the left and right and bottom keypads of the screen. The top cable is connected to the screen and backlight.
The two chips on the front of the board are the four-channel LED driver chip MAX16813ATP/V+ from Maxim and the video processing chip TW8834AT from Renesas. The models of the other two chips are unknown.
This part shows the layout and routing of MAX16813ATP/V+. According to the routing, three channels are used for the four-channel LED driver output.
This part is the layout and wiring of the video processing chip. The two differential lines on the far left come from the 2-pin interface mentioned before the disassembly. After passing through this QFN-48 packaged chip, 5 LVDS differential signals are output and then enter the video processing chip TW8834AT. The video processing chip outputs 5 differential LVDS signals to the screen. The data sheet of this chip should require the signing of an NDA to obtain it, so no further speculation can be made, but it can be seen that the layout and wiring are still very beautiful.
The back of the board is mainly power-related circuits. The one in the blue box is ADI's LT8609, a 42V3A step-down converter. The biggest advantage of this chip is its low quiescent current, and its biggest disadvantage is its high price.
Close-up of two connectors. Speaking of connectors, a floating connector was used in the previously disassembled Ford Mondeo car machine. If you want to see it, you can click on the title to jump: Disassembly of the 2022 Ford Mondeo central control screen module to see the workmanship and materials of automotive electronics and learn about automotive electronic design .
There is a unidirectional silicon TVS transient suppression diode closest to the power input socket.
The 12V input is stepped down to 5V by the LT8609.
The layout and wiring of the screen backlight power supply on the right side of the board. The entire area is separated from the board ground plane, and a single point grounding should be done on the inner layer.
After looking at the main board, remove a keypad and take a look.
On the front of the keypad, the encoder in the upper left corner feels very good.
It feels very comfortable to rotate with this hat.
There are silicone gaskets and panels under the keypad.
I tried using a flashlight for lighting, and the effect was good, but because the light was too strong, you could see that the edges were blurred.
This is the LCD and screen cable of the car computer.
Overall, the workmanship and materials of this car computer are very good, and the circuit board layout and wiring are also very good, which is worth learning. The operation of the buttons and two rotary encoders also feels good. If you want to DIY something that requires encoders, this set may come in handy.
