Overview:
The PC9248 is a bidirectional buck-boost controller suitable for driving silicon (Si) MOSFETs or gallium nitride (GaN) power transistors in high-efficiency power converters. It supports wide input and output ranges up to 45V and can seamlessly transition between buck, buck-boost, and boost modes. The PC9248 integrates high-side and low-side gate drivers and provides UVLO protection for both drive rails. It also supports non-synchronous buck operation. It provides programmable input current limit and precise LED current regulation. LED open and short detection features protect the device from external fault conditions.
The PC9248 supports an ultra-wide switching frequency range of 50KHz to 3MHz and integrates spread spectrum (FSS) for EMI optimization. It also features external compensation, programmable soft-start and fault reporting.
