1. Main functions of the equipment

YC-DP-ECT is a self-developed communication gateway with Profibus slave function. The main function of this product is to connect EtherCAT devices to Profibus network, connect to Profibus bus as slave, and connect to EtherCAT bus as slave.

Wide application: This product is used in frequency converters, servo drives, intelligent field measurement equipment, instruments, PLC, DCS, FCS, etc. that support EtherCAT interface. In the automotive manufacturing industry, advanced automated production lines often integrate equipment with multiple different protocols. For example, the body welding robot may use the EtherCAT slave protocol, while the material conveying system on the production line is based on the Profibus slave protocol. Through this gateway, the two can be seamlessly connected to ensure the smoothness and efficiency of the entire production process.

The gateway protocol complies with GB/T 20540-2006: Fieldbus for measurement and control of digital data communications for industrial control systems

As a Profibus network slave, the gateway supports baud rates from 9.6Kbps to 12Mbps.

Supported data length: input ≤ 244 bytes, output ≤ 244 bytes, input + output ≤ 488 bytes.

As a slave station of the EtherCAT network, the gateway can connect to PLCs from manufacturers such as Beckhoff and Omron.

With 2 RJ45 Ethernet interfaces, it supports 100BASE-TX, MDI/MDIX self-detection, can form a chain network, and supports ring network redundancy.

The maximum supported PDO length is 256 bytes for inputs and outputs respectively. The direction of input and output is the master direction, input is the master input, and output is the master output.

4. Configuration method

1. Use GW Modbus Builder software to set the EtherCAT data length of the gateway.

2. Configure the gateway on the EtherCAT master software.

3. Configure the gateway on the Profibus master software.

4. Set the dial code correctly and the gateway starts running after power is supplied.

5. Electrical parameters

Power supply: 24VDC (±5%), maximum power 3.5W

Working environment temperature: -45~85℃, humidity ≤95%

Protection level: IP20

Installation method: DIN-35mm rail
