Electronic Information, Civil Engineering [Copy link]

Do you think that majors related to electronic information will decline like civil engineering? If so, what majors do you think will have the most promising future or what majors do you think will be derived from them?

I think there is still a lot of room for electronic information. At least it won't be obsolete in the next few decades.  Details Published on 2024-7-10 17:42

Electronic information is a pretty good major right now. I don't think it will decline in the short term. After all, many wars are now electronic warfare.

Electronic information and automation should be relatively good majors and will not decline for a long time in the future. Unlike civil engineering, infrastructure and real estate will reach their peak sooner or later.

Do you mean that the development of electronic information is very broad, and that technology can realize all kinds of imaginative things?  Details Published on 2024-7-2 11:05

Watching high-tech movies, you will find that they basically have weapons and equipment related to electronic information. Electronic information is in decline, how to use high-end weapons to defeat monsters...

Haha, Ultra Light? Electronic information is not declining, it has just reached a peak and cannot continue to develop. Will people turn to other tracks?  Details Published on 2024-7-2 15:18

There is no such thing as a major. It depends on what you are interested in.

In fact, it only takes half a year to learn almost all the professional knowledge in college.

The remaining three and a half years were mostly spent making manure.

Haha, what you learn in college are all basic knowledge, which certainly doesn’t involve too many real cases, and I feel that what you learn in college is just to let you know that there is such a thing.  Details Published on 2024-7-2 15:19

Electronic information will not decline at least in this era. For example, intelligence and the Internet of Things are based on electronic information related technologies, and the development trend is becoming more and more high-end.

Your statement is quite pertinent. In this era, it will not decline. It is hard to say what will happen in the future.  Details Published on 2024-7-3 13:11

Do you think electronic information-related majors will decline like civil engineering?

I personally think not, because the audience or product targets are different. The targets of civil engineering are basically large and single, while the targets of electronic information are small and varied.

For example, as you said above, this era will be as you said, but it is hard to say what will happen in the future. For example, the ancients could never have imagined that their cold weapons would be rarely used in future battlefields.  Details Published on 2024-7-3 13:12

That was several hundred years later. Although cold weapons are rarely used, they still have their market. Without Changhong, it would be very difficult for them to completely disappear.  Details Published on 2024-7-3 15:30

There is a market. There is also a market for civil engineering. Our topic is to look forward to the future. In a few hundred years, will electronic information be as important as it is now? Or will it be derived from something else?  Details Published on 2024-7-5 08:52

Many universities have changed the name of civil engineering majors to intelligent construction

Explanation: Emphasis on combining information technology with traditional civil engineering, cultivating compound talents who can use intelligent technology for engineering design, construction and management

I have not understood it in the past few decades, no matter how many hundreds of years I look forward to, the so-called technology update cycle is getting shorter and shorter.  Details Published on 2024-7-5 09:27
