Introduction:
SM5321 is a switch-type single-cell lithium battery charging circuit with dynamic path management. SM5321 can provide 2.5A charging current, which is particularly suitable for devices equipped with ultra-large capacity lithium batteries such as mobile power supplies and tablets. SM5321 integrates a large current synchronous buck module, a charging control module, a dynamic path management, an input current limit automatic detection, and all the functions and protection circuits required for lithium battery charging, such as trickle, constant current, constant voltage charging, battery over-temperature protection, charging indication, charging current setting without expensive milliohm resistors, shutdown for too long charging time, IC short circuit protection and over-temperature protection (only chip internal temperature), etc. The SYS and BATT dual-port reverse cutoff function of SM5321 also prevents the battery from backflowing when the input interface is short-circuited. SM5321 also provides battery removal detection function.
