[DigiKey "Smart Manufacturing, Non-stop Happiness" Creative Competition] PICO_LAB Hardware Design 1: PS [Copy link]

 

The goal of pico_lab is to develop a set of development and testing tools based on the Raspberry Pi pico.


PS stands for power source, adjustable power supply.

The main control and gui boards were purchased from digikey.


The additional hardware is divided into the following parts:

DCDC conversion, digital control design, input 5~20V, output 3~20V. The chip is MP28167GQ-AZ, buck-boost mode, i2c interface to adjust the output voltage.
It has perfect protection function.

For output current measurement, the ina180 high-end current sampling amplifier is selected, which is easy to use and has good performance.


For power supply, we choose tps62933, synchronous buck, which has good performance.


Because I want to make PS and VM on the same board for this competition, the VM (voltage and current measurement) part is being designed, to be continued~
