How to measure power supply ripple? [Copy link]

Hello everyone in the forum, I would like to ask if the ripple of the power supply can be measured? How to measure the ripple of the power supply in general?

The oscilloscope probe is connected in series with an appropriate capacitor to display the voltage waveform across the load. The peak value or peak-to-peak value of the ripple can be seen from the waveform. The AC voltmeter (with a wide enough frequency band) is connected in series with an appropriate capacitor to measure the voltage across the load to obtain the average value or effective value of the ripple.
