Why are elevator signals not popularized? [Copy link]

We live in urban office buildings and take elevators home every day. When we make calls on our mobile phones, the signal is always lost?

We all know about loss. Metal shielding cannot receive signals.

However, surveillance and advertising in elevators can be placed inside

Why don't you put a signal repeater inside to cover the signal?

Today's equipment is so advanced and not so big

Why isn't it popular?

If there is any offense, please delete it immediately.

In industrial parks, property managers will generally reach an agreement with operators to resolve the issue. After all, it is industrial and commercial real estate, so it is relatively easy to resolve.   Details Published on 2022-5-30 11:43

I always thought that elevator ads were stored locally, similar to MP4 loop playback.

This was true in the early days, but later it became widely used via the Internet because the latter has lower costs, while the former must be updated manually on a regular basis, which in turn results in higher costs.  Details Published on 2022-5-26 14:25

The question is who will pay for it. Given the number of elevators, the investment required to provide a signal in the elevator and to cover all operators and all mobile communication versions is not small. Who will bear the cost? Advertising machines, on the other hand, generate profits, which is fundamentally different.

At present, some common methods are to exchange benefits, such as agreeing to a certain operator's base station to be settled in, and the base station operator will pay to cover the elevator. Another method is that the property pays, which is common in office buildings and shopping malls. Operators will invest in covering the elevators in some large public buildings. For residential communities, this problem is obviously difficult to solve, and the mobile communication version is updated relatively quickly. The extended coverage equipment must be replaced regularly, which can be said to be a long-term project, which increases the difficulty of solving the problem.

In view of this, if there is no signal in the elevator, then there is no signal. If you have to pay or compensate for it, it is better not to have it.

Why do I post this question? I clock in online at work, but every time I get out of the elevator, I can't connect to the signal. It may also be a problem with the phone.  Details Published on 2022-5-26 21:28

The time it takes to reconnect to the network after losing the mobile signal is indeed related to the software and hardware design of the mobile phone. Changing the number of a different operator may improve the situation.  Details Published on 2022-5-27 15:05

At first, there was no mobile signal in the entire park. There was a base station nearby for China Telecom, but there was no signal from the third floor down, especially on the second floor. Later, China Mobile placed repeaters in every corner of the factory and in the places where the signal was weakest. . . .  Details Published on 2022-5-27 16:58
