Set up the computer to minimize unnecessary energy consumption to reduce the temperature. The result of energy consumption is work and the generation of byproducts such as heat. We have done a lot of research on how to extend the battery life of laptops. Now many of these practices can also be used to reduce the energy consumption of computers when using AC power, so as to reduce the heat generated when using laptops in unavoidable hot environments. Of course, this also applies to using batteries in hot environments.
1. Turn off unused external devices and ports. It can save power, reduce heat and extend the service life of components. Turning off any unused external devices such as mobile hard disks, PCMICA devices, and turning off serial ports, parallel ports or infrared (IR) ports can indeed save some power.
2. Set a reasonable power management method. This includes setting the time to turn off the display, turn off the hard disk, and system wait when using AC adapter or battery power. This is very important and is also very good for hardware. In addition, the power consumed in suspend mode is very small, but the memory is still working at a low power consumption. You can quickly wake up the laptop computer in a short time by opening the screen or pressing the Fn key, which saves power and reduces heat. It is just like letting the computer rest for a while. My practice has proved that the battery power consumed by the system in suspended state for a whole night is less than 1%, which is a very energy-saving state. You must press Fn+F4 tirelessly when you leave the computer. You should let the computer rest even if you rest. In addition, if you select "RediSafe" in power management, the suspension and wake-up time will be extended. This is a function to ensure that data is not lost in the event of a sudden power outage. It can be ignored if it is not absolutely necessary.
3. Lowering the speed of the processor can also reduce heat. This is undoubtedly a very direct approach. If you are using a laptop to do word processing or other work, I think this is very necessary. On the "Power Mode" tab of power management, you can set the CPU speed when using the AC adapter, reduce the CPU running speed, play a role in reducing energy consumption and reducing heat generation.
4. Closing unnecessary applications can also partially reduce energy consumption; but opening the PowerBooster program is also to reduce energy consumption. Open this program and move the pointer close to 0xFF (Battery) to slow down the hard disk spindle motor to save energy, needless to say; and reducing the operating speed of the optical drive, dimming the monitor brightness, etc., can all more or less reduce the heat generated by the computer.
Good, a friendly reminder, a big problem with laptops is that the cable is easy to break, and it costs a lot of money to repair it.
