Abstract: With the development of power electronics technology, the harm of harmonics has become more and more serious, and the harmonic control problem has become urgent. This paper analyzes and summarizes the harmonic sources of power electronic devices, points out their hazards and the corresponding harmonic management principles and comprehensive control methods, and looks forward to the harmonic control work.

With the development of power electronics technology, the widespread application of power electronic devices has brought serious harmonic pollution to the power system. The widespread application of various power electronic equipment in many industrial and transportation fields such as transportation, metallurgy, and chemical industry has made the harmonic problem in the power grid increasingly serious. Many low-power factor power electronic devices bring additional burdens to the power grid and affect the power supply quality. Therefore, the harmonic pollution of power electronic devices has become a major obstacle to the development of power electronics technology. Therefore, the research on suppressing harmonic pollution and improving power factor has become an important topic in power electronics technology. Focusing on this key issue, this article explores the method of comprehensive management from the perspective of the relationship between pollution and prevention through the understanding and analysis of the power electronic harmonic source and its hazards. Finally, the development trend of comprehensive harmonic management is prospected.
