Please recommend a cheap and available microcontroller [Copy link]

I would like to ask for a cheap and available microcontroller that I would like to use for RS-485 data transmission for sensor data acquisition. It only needs to have I2C and UART functions, and no other resources are required.

ESP8266 can also be used as a general-purpose microcontroller.

You are the moderator of French and Italian chips, you should go to the conference in Shenzhen to express your demands!

“As cheap as possible” – How much will you use, and are you that sensitive to cost?

When selling things, you can reasonably raise the price when it seriously affects the gross profit.

The main reason is that I don't have too many requirements for functions. I have some MSP430 microcontrollers, but I feel that the cost of 5 yuan per piece is a bit wasteful.  Details Published on 2021-4-25 20:36

Also, the pin count is 28, which seems a bit too many. It would be best if the size could be smaller, such as around 8 pins.

Go to the Litron Mall, sort by price in the "Microcontroller" section, and check the ones that are in stock. Note that many of these cheap ones are OTP, which you probably won't want.  Details Published on 2021-4-25 20:53

Go to the LiChuang Mall, sort by price under "Microcontrollers", and check the ones that are in stock.

Note that many of these bargains are OTP, so you probably won’t want them.

It is indeed a solution. There are not many with UART function. Finally, I found a SN8F570212TG, which seems to be OK. Thanks.  Details Published on 2021-4-25 21:19

The stc51 microcontroller is enough, it supports iic and serial communication, has 40 pins, supports external multi-sensor networks, and is very cheap

I used to use an STC microcontroller that cost more than 1 yuan, but I can't find it now. The forum previously promoted the Renesas RL78 event, which claimed to be a 1 yuan microcontroller, but it is now out of stock. It was all due to shortage of stock. Now I have checked and found that MSP430 is in sufficient supply and the price has not changed much. The cost-effectiveness was not high before, but now it is considered cheap.  Details Published on 2021-4-26 12:16
