As circuits in embedded systems become more sophisticated and require tighter tolerances, you must measure different parameters with very high accuracy to verify your design. The Tektronix DMM4050 and DMM4040 6.5-digit bench multimeters combine a variety of functions and analysis capabilities into one instrument and provide outstanding accuracy and performance.

With a basic VDC accuracy of up to 0.0024% and a resolution of 100 pA and 10 μΩ, the Tektronix DMM4050 and DMM4040 digital multimeters can perform typical multimeter measurements, ensuring the performance required for today's demanding designs. You can also use the DMM4050/4040 to measure frequency and period, perform continuity tests, and diode tests. If you need more flexibility, the DMM4050 also provides temperature measurement functions and capacitance measurement functions. You can replace thermometers, capacitance meters, counters, continuity testers, and traditional DMMs with a single multifunction instrument, saving bench space and costs.

Analyze the device under test using the graphical display mode

The unique dual display of the DMM4050/4040 allows you to measure two different parameters of the same signal using one set of test leads. To reveal signal quality issues such as drift, intermittent transient signals, and stability, you can use the DMM4050/4040's graphical display mode to view data as a real-time trend plot or histogram, or use the measurement statistics function to track how signal parameters change over time.
