DPO4032 detailed information:
1. Wave Inspector control function
Record length, also known as memory depth, is one of the key specifications of an oscilloscope. It refers to the number of sample points that can be digitized and stored in a single acquisition. The longer the record length, the longer the time window that can be captured with high resolution (high sampling rate). The world's first digital oscilloscope could only capture and store 500 sample points, which made it difficult to collect all relevant information for the event under investigation. Over the years, oscilloscope manufacturers have provided longer and longer record lengths to meet the needs of long capture windows with high resolution. High resolution has either become standard in most mid-range oscilloscopes today, or users can choose to upgrade to record lengths of several megasamples. These record lengths of several megasamples typically represent thousands of screens of signal activity. Although standard record lengths have increased significantly over the years and are now able to meet the needs of most applications in the market, until now, cost-effective tools for viewing, observing and analyzing long record length acquisitions have not attracted people's attention. The DPO4000 series
redefines engineers' expectations when dealing with long record lengths
through the new Wave Inspector control function.

1. Zoom/scroll display: A dedicated two-level front panel knob allows intuitive control of zoom and scroll display. ① The inner knob adjusts the zoom factor (or zoom scale). Turning it clockwise activates the zoom and gradually increases the zoom factor. Turning it counterclockwise decreases the zoom factor and eventually turns off the zoom function. The outer knob scrolls the zoom box through the waveform to quickly get to the part of the waveform that the user is interested in. ② The outer knob also uses a force-sensitive design to determine the speed of scrolling the waveform. The faster the outer knob is turned, the faster the zoom box scrolls. The scroll direction can be changed by turning the knob in the opposite direction. You no longer have to go through multiple menus to adjust the zoom view.
2. Play/Pause: When looking for anomalies or events of interest, a dedicated play/pause button on the front panel automatically scrolls the waveform through the display. Playback speed and direction are controlled using the intuitive scroll knob. The faster you turn the knob, the faster the waveform scrolls. You can change the panning direction by turning the knob in the opposite direction.
Wave Inspector controls provide unprecedented efficiency in viewing, navigating, and analyzing waveform data.
3. User Marks: See something of interest on the waveform? Press the Set Mark
button on the front panel to place one or more "bookmarks" on the waveform. To navigate between different marks, simply press the Previous and Next buttons on the front panel.
4. Search Marks: Don't want to spend time examining the entire acquired waveform to find the event you are looking for?
The DPO4000 Series has a powerful waveform search function that can search long-term acquired data based on user-defined criteria. Search marks highlight all event occurrences and can be
easily searched using the front panel Previous and Next buttons. Search types include edge, pulse width, runt pulse, logic setup and hold time, rise time/fall time, and I2C, SPI, and CAN packet content.
The setup and hold time search function highlights various setup and hold time violations in a single acquisition.
Serial Decoding and Analysis
One of the most common applications that requires long record lengths is serial data analysis in embedded system designs. Embedded systems are ubiquitous. They may contain many different types of devices, such as microprocessors, microcontrollers, DSPs, RAM, EPROMs, FPGAs, A/Ds, D/As, and I/Os. Traditionally, various devices have used wide parallel buses to communicate with each other and the outside world. However, today, more and more embedded systems are replacing these wide parallel buses with serial buses because they require less board space, fewer pins, lower power, and use embedded clocks and differential signals to improve noise immunity, and most importantly, their cost is lower. In addition, many well-known manufacturers are providing popular building blocks in large quantities to quickly develop designs. Although serial buses have a lot of advantages, they also bring major challenges that their predecessors (parallel buses) have never faced. It becomes more difficult to debug bus and system problems, it becomes more difficult to isolate events of interest, and it becomes more difficult to interpret what is displayed on the oscilloscope screen. The DPO4000 series solves these problems and
provides the best tools for engineers dealing with low-speed serial buses such as I2C, SPI, and CAN.
3. The performance and feature set you expect
The DPO4000 series digital phosphor oscilloscope (DPO) provides the performance you need to view the most demanding signals. With
a bandwidth range of 350 MHz-1GHz, and all models providing at least 5 times oversampling rate and standard sin(x)/x interpolation on all channels,
you can be confident that you can accurately capture and display the fastest instantaneous events. The standard 10M record length on all channels can capture long signal activity windows while maintaining fine timing resolution. The
DPO4000
series provides a variety of analysis solutions, including cursors, 25
automatic measurement functions, statistics, and waveform math operations. Despite its small size and light weight, the DPO4000 Series still offers outstanding performance, a large 10.4" XGA display, and knob vertical controls for each channel. The new TekVPITM probe interface sets the standard for ease of use in probing. TekVPI probes feature status indicators and controls, with a probe menu button in the compensation box. This button launches a probe menu on the oscilloscope display that includes all relevant settings and controls for the probe. The TekVPI
interface uses a new probe power management architecture that allows direct connection of current probes without requiring a separate, bulky power supply. Finally, TekVPI probes can be remotely controlled via USB, GPIB, or Ethernet,
providing a more versatile solution in ATE environments. The DPO4000 Series offers new USB plug-and-play operation and PC connectivity. To acquire data and measurements from the instrument, simply connect a USB
cable from the oscilloscope to the PC. Available applications include National Instruments
SignalExpress Tektronix Edition, OpenChoice Desktop
, and Microsoft Excel and Word toolbars for quick and easy integration with Windows Direct communication with PC. USB and CompactFlash
ports on the front panel can easily transfer screenshots, instrument settings and waveform data. Unprecedented Wave
Inspector control functions are combined with DPO4000's outstanding performance, complete feature set and innovative appearance design, providing outstanding value.
The fast waveform capture rate maximizes
the probability of capturing elusive glitches and other rare events.

IV. Other Applications
Video Design and Development
Many video engineers have always been fond of analog oscilloscopes, believing that the grayscale on the analog display is the only way to view specific video waveform details. The fast waveform capture rate of the DPO4000 Series, coupled with the signal grayscale map, provides the same information as an analog oscilloscope, but with a much higher level of detail, while providing all the benefits of a digital oscilloscope. With up to 1
GHz bandwidth and four inputs, the DPO4000 Series provides ample performance for analog and digital video.
Digital Circuit Design and Debug
The Tektronix Integrated View (iViewTM) function makes it possible for DPO4000 Series oscilloscopes to interoperate with Tektronix TLA5000 Series logic analyzers, allowing circuit designers to meet signal integrity challenges and debug and verify systems faster, easier and more effectively. The iView function
fully integrates the industry-leading performance and measurement accuracy of Tektronix oscilloscopes with the multi-channel and powerful triggering capabilities of Tektronix logic analyzers. This integrated capability enables designers to view time-correlated digital and analog data in the same display window, isolating the analog characteristics of digital signals that cause problems in the system. The iView
Wizard function guides users through the setup and connection process, simplifying the integration of oscilloscopes and logic analyzers. It does not require any user calibration. In addition, once the setup is complete, the iView
function is completely automatic. As a result, a comprehensive set of tools is provided for digital design and debugging. Tan S 135-1007-5188 (same number on WeChat)
