About the problem of Proteus access error [Copy link]

I recently learned microcontrollers and used the 877A learning version. When I was learning to light up LCD1602, the code that could light up on the learning board always failed in simulation. Finally, I found that the LCD1602 can only be connected to the RB port during simulation, and there is no display when connected to other ports. This problem does not exist on the learning board. Sometimes, the code that can be executed in simulation cannot be displayed normally on the learning board. The 1602 code is often like this. How can I avoid this problem? Sometimes it is too misleading? Thank you! mplab ide 8.9, Proteus 8.7 SP3. And the connection to the computer is always unsuccessful.

It is quite common for simulation software to have bugs. It is an auxiliary tool that can help with rapid development, but it cannot completely replace hardware.   Details Published on 2019-8-29 21:48

Proteus is not completely reliable, so the development board should be used as the basis.

Well, I still use the development version. I added a logic analyzer to see the waveform for learning. Thank you!
