Bluetooth and MSP430 Audio Sink Reference Design [Copy link]

Description

TI's Bluetooth + MSP430 Audio Heatsink Reference Design is available to customers for creating a variety of low-end, low-power audio solution applications. Some possible applications - toys, low-end Bluetooth speakers, audio playback accessories. This reference design is an affordable audio implementation that allows you to focus on application and end product development by referring to the complete design files provided. The software supporting this reference design includes the Stonestreet One Bluetopia Bluetooth stack, which is certified and royalty-free.

Bluetooth and MSP430 Audio Sink Reference Design

Features

Enables Bluetooth audio (SBC encoding/decoding) with the lowest cost, lowest power MSP430F5229

Enables low-power audio by offloading audio processing from the MCU to the Bluetooth device in the design

This cost-effective, low-end wireless audio solution uses a 4-layer layout and QFN package. The core of this solution is TI's CC2564, which has best-in-class Bluetooth performance (+12dBm output power). The design also uses TI's low-power digital input speaker amplifier (TAS2505) and USB charge management device (BQ24055). Both the CC256x and Bluetopia stacks have Bluetooth subsystem QDIDs, so you only need a list of Bluetooth end products
