PADS drawing board [Copy link]

PADS drawing board, what are the advantages of flat area compared to copper plating or copper pouring? What are the special requirements for making a flat area when copper plating or copper pouring can be done?

Latest reply

It has nothing to do with the positive. The negative is similar to the seal carving.  Details Published on 2019-4-16 14:36

I think the results are consistent. In some cases, a certain area may need to be covered with copper, but simply laying copper or setting the rules cannot meet this requirement. For example, if there is a chip area, if you set copper laying, it will generally be laid over, leaving a certain gap. But if you want a heat dissipation pad, it is obviously more convenient to just make a plane.

The plane you are talking about is the copper layer? I am talking about the inner layer...  Details Published on 2019-4-9 10:43

The processing of mixed layers in multilayer boards is divided into several areas

Can't the inner layer be filled with copper or laid out with copper rings? Why do we need a flat area?  Details Published on 2019-4-9 10:44

Can't the inner layer also be made of copper or copper ring? Why do we need a plane area?

The top and boot layers are divided by copper-clad inner layers using plane areas. The inner layers are negative films. When setting properties for layers in the early software, the software can also set the properties of the inner layers, such as the power layer properties. You can also choose other properties such as NO PLANE.  Details Published on 2019-4-9 11:24

When the inner electrical layer attributes determine the mixed layer, the area should be divided by plane area or other methods.

I mean the copper laying and copper pouring tools can also be separated piece by piece.  Details Published on 2019-4-10 13:47
