What simulations can Proteus do? [Copy link]

I am a newbie and want to do hardware design. Proteus can directly design PCB boards and simulations, but what can it simulate? Can it only detect whether the circuit schematic is correct? Can it do electromagnetic compatibility testing or something like that? Please help me.

A few days ago, I heard that some schools' electronics majors use this teaching method, without development boards, and students rarely come into contact with actual boards. This is not good. There are still many differences between software simulation and actual circuits.  Details Published on 2018-11-4 16:50

Proteus is good at simulating single-chip digital circuits. It can directly design PCB boards and simulations. But if you want to mix in the electronics industry, learn electronic design, etc., it is best not to use this for PCB and simulation. The board factory will not accept the files generated by such software.

I came into contact with this thing around 2006, mainly to learn about microcontrollers, because I was a poor student at that time and couldn't afford to buy a development board

Proteus is generally used to verify microcontroller programs. It supports some common peripherals. Few people use it to design PCBs. It is more used for teaching. Among the commonly used drawing software, you only need to learn one.

This seems to verify whether the circuit is correct. I have never used this to make PCBs, and I don't know whether the PCB manufacturer can accept your plate-making files.
