IEEE recommended DIY: Design a bicycle computer with Raspberry Pi and Kindle

Total of 1 lesson ,2 minutes and 32 seconds
Profile

A Raspberry Pi and Kindle provide the essential information you need for your bike tour. Traditional bicycle computers display information such as current speed and distance, but the display is difficult to read due to its small size. By upgrading a battery-powered Raspberry Pi with Wi-Fi and GPS, IEEE Spectrum's David Schneider was able to turn a standard Kindle into a bicycle touchscreen computer for easy reading of speed, distance and navigation data.
