Electric toothbrushes use the rapid rotation or vibration of the motor core to generate high-frequency vibrations in the brush head, instantly breaking down the toothpaste into fine foam to deeply clean the teeth. There are two types of electric toothbrushes: rotary and vibrating.

The AH468 Hall switch is used to control the motor speed control function of the electric toothbrush. By setting the Hall switch, the push plate is pushed during the brushing process to make the magnetic block slide on the upper surface of the Hall sensor. The magnetic field between the magnetic block and the Hall sensor changes by the sliding of the magnetic block. The Hall sensor converts the changing magnetic field into a change in the output voltage and transmits the electrical signal to the circuit board. The circuit board adjusts the output parameters of the motor, thereby modifying the rotation intensity of the motor, so that the user can independently modify the output intensity of the brushing wheel within a certain range, so that the user can adjust the output intensity according to personal habits.

AH468 is a low-power and high-sensitivity bipolar Hall switch chip. The chip is made of CMOS technology. The device integrates a voltage regulator, a Hall voltage generator, a small signal amplifier, a chopper regulator, a Schmitt trigger and a CMOS output driver. The ESD performance can reach ±6kV.

AH468 is used in electric toothbrushes and has the characteristics of good temperature stability, strong stress resistance, and high sensitivity. The operating voltage is 2.7V-5.5V, and the power consumption is very low. It can provide TO-92S plug-in package and small-sized SOT23-3L package. It is easy to layout and very suitable for portable micro-power battery-powered applications. The packages all comply with RoHS environmental protection standards.
