Classic Platform (AUTOSAR CP)
The AUTOSAR Classic Platform (AUTOSAR CP) is an implementation of the AUTOSAR software architecture that aims to provide a standardized approach to developing and managing software for automotive electronic systems. AUTOSAR CP defines the software components, runtime environment, and communication mechanisms for automotive electronic systems to enable modular, reusable, and scalable system development.
In AUTOSAR CP, software components are divided into application software components (SWC) and basic software components (BSW). SWC is a software module that implements specific functions, such as engine control, braking system, etc. BSW is a software module that provides basic functions and services, such as communication protocol stack, operating system, etc.
The runtime environment layer provides runtime support for the AUTOSAR system, including tasks management, memory management, communication management and other functions. The runtime environment layer is responsible for scheduling and managing the execution of software components, and provides a communication mechanism to enable software components to interact with each other.
The communication mechanism uses an event-based trigger mechanism in AUTOSAR CP, and software components communicate through event triggering and reception. This event triggering mechanism can achieve loosely coupled communication between components and improve the scalability and flexibility of the system.
In general, AUTOSAR CP provides a standardized software architecture that makes the development and management of automotive electronic systems more efficient and reliable. It promotes the modularity and reusability of software and improves the scalability and flexibility of the system.
1.2.1 Basic Software (BSW)
AUTOSAR CP basic software (BSW) is an important part of the AUTOSAR architecture. It provides a series of basic software modules for managing and controlling various functions and services of automotive electronic systems. The functions and significance of BSW are as follows:
Standardized interfaces: BSW defines standardized interfaces and protocols, allowing software modules developed by different suppliers to interact and collaborate with each other. This makes it easier for automakers to integrate different software components, improve development efficiency and system reusability.
Functional modules: BSW provides a series of functional modules, including diagnosis, communication, network management, power management, operating system, etc. These functional modules can meet various requirements of automotive electronic systems, such as fault diagnosis, communication protocol support, power management, etc.
Configurability: BSW allows automakers to configure and customize according to specific needs. By configuring different modules and parameters, different functional and performance requirements can be achieved, improving the flexibility and scalability of the system.
Fault management: BSW provides fault management functions to monitor and handle faults in the system. It can record and report fault information, help diagnose and repair problems, and improve system reliability and safety.
Software update and maintenance: BSW supports online software update and maintenance. Through remote diagnosis and configuration, the system can be upgraded and repaired, reducing maintenance costs and downtime.
The function and significance of AUTOSAR CP basic software is to provide a standardized method to develop and manage software for automotive electronic systems, improve development efficiency, system reusability and reliability, while reducing maintenance costs and downtime.
