As a common accessory in cars, the car charger plays the role of a backup power supply, which can power mobile devices by converting the 12V or 24V car level into a 5V USB output.
When designing a 45W in-car fast charger, an engineer needed an LDO with a wide voltage input and a current of about 150mA, and the voltage output accuracy was required to be within 2%. Previously, the project used TI's (Texas Instruments) LM1084, but now wants to replace it with a domestic solution.
Guoxin Sichen provides the linear regulator CN88L025 from Xinbei Technology, which provides overheating and overcurrent protection, a supply voltage range of 4.75~35V, an output accuracy of <±2%, and a series of safety functions, making it very suitable for in-vehicle fast charging applications.

Advantages of CN88L025 in vehicle fast charging:
1. 4.75-35V wide voltage input, meeting most power supply needs;
2. Output current up to 150mA, quiescent current 6μA;
3. With excellent load regulation, the output capacitance is 1~10μF;
4. With overheat protection, overcurrent protection, short circuit protection, high safety level, effectively reducing the risk of damage to LDO and subsequent circuits;
5. A variety of small packages such as SOT89-3, SOT89-3, and DFN2x2-6 are very suitable for use on PCB boards with limited space;
6. The temperature range is -45 to 150℃, with a wide range of applications.
