Different USB connector classification methods. According to the frequency, they are divided into high-frequency connectors and low-frequency connectors; according to the appearance, they are divided into round connectors and rectangular connectors; according to the purpose, there are printed circuit board connectors, cabinet connectors, acoustic connectors, power connectors, special connectors, etc. There are many kinds of USB connectors, usually classified according to their operating frequency, electrical requirements and other characteristics.

USB connectors with different operating frequencies.
1. Low-frequency connector. Generally refers to the connector transmission current below 100MHz. This type of USB connector has a larger transmission current range, and its structure is mostly multi-line (can be as many as several hundred lines), including:
a. Cable connector. This type of USB connector is composed of multi-strand cables or shielded cables and solid wires, and the free-end connector is composed of a free-end mating connector or a fixed connector.
b. Box connector. It includes two fixed USB connectors. The two methods are installed on the system frame respectively, and the connection and separation are realized by the linear reciprocating motion of the unit components.
c. Install the spare connector for the audio system. There are many types of USB connectors, such as YS1 type circular connector, coaxial connector, plug, acoustic device, etc.
d. Connectors for household electrical appliances. This type of USB connector is mainly used in household appliances such as black and white TVs, color TVs, and similar household appliances.
e. Connectors for office equipment. This product is mainly used in copiers, Chinese and English computer printers, microprocessors and other equipment.
f. Power connectors for electronic and electrical equipment.
g. Environmental resistant joints.
h.Special connector.

2. High-frequency connector. Generally refers to USB connectors used in circuits above 100MHz. The structure of this precision connector must take into account the leakage and reflection of high-frequency electric fields. Because it usually uses a coaxial-coaxial connection, it is also called a coaxial connector.
3. Hybrid high-low frequency connector. Generally refers to a USB connector that contains low-frequency and high-frequency contact pairs.
Classification according to power requirements:
The electrical requirements of USB connectors can be divided into general connectors, high-power connectors, high-voltage connectors, pulse connectors, low-noise connectors, anti-interference filtering connectors, phase adjustment connectors, precision coaxial connectors, etc.
Classification by environmental conditions:
USB connectors can be divided into sealed connectors, radiation-resistant connectors, high-temperature connectors, low-temperature connectors, etc. according to the working environment conditions.

Connectors include element-plug connectors, rubber connectors, swivel connectors, splitters, tap-joints, fiber optic connectors, etc.
